Advice and info
Chronic case consultations (including phone consults) generally take between 45 and 90 minutes. Then I need to work on the case for a while and differentiate remedies. This can be time-consuming, depending on how complicated or clear the case is. In most cases I will get back to you with a prescription within a few days. Specific prescription remedies are usually ordered through Simillimum Homeopathic Pharmacy and picked up from there or sent out to you at your cost. In some cases I may be able to provide the remedy.
Acute cases that are straightforward and less time-consuming are priced accordingly. The Peticare over-the-counter range is available without a consult, and can be ordered by email, over the phone, or from the Online Shop.
Information required for consultations
Because we treat the animal holistically in homeopathy, we require a lot of information.
I will want to know about your animals personality, diet, sleep patterns, previous medical conditions or any history, temperature preferences, thirst, appetite, anything that makes your animal better or worse. Are they worse at any particular time of the day, or in certain weather? Are they better or worse for heat or cold or after eating etc?
This information will help me differentiate between the thousands of remedies available for use.
Acute Case (sudden onset, short lived conditions)
Clinic or House call
Chronic Case (long standing conditions)
Phone, clinic or house call.
$80.00 (first consult)
$30 to 60.00 (follow up consult)
Follow-ups are recommended in all chronic cases whether the remedy has helped or not. A follow up appointment consists of a reevaluation of the case including treatment and remedies required.
$30.00 to $60.00 (case dependant).
For house and farm calls a mileage fee may be applied. This will depend on whether I am in the area anyway, how far I have to travel etc. This can be discussed when booking an appointment.
If you are not able to pick the remedy up from Wellington central, I may need to courier the remedy out to you after the consult.
Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is often translated as "universal life force energy". It is a combination of two Japanese words - Rei which means "Spirit" or "Universe" and Ki which is "life force energy". Reiki is a natural, vibrational, hands-on healing practice which utilises the presence of universal life force energy or Ki/Chi by sending high vibrational healing energy to support the body’s self-healing ability. It is gentle, effective and can be used on all animals.
When an animal’s life force energy is high and flowing freely, they are healthy and happy. If their life force energy is low, they may be subject to illness or emotional stress. Reiki is safe and natural. It is an input of pure energy, which removes blockages and accelerates the body's natural ability to heal on any level needed.
The system of Reiki was founded in Japan in the early 1900's by Mikao Usui and has been passed down from teacher to student since this time. It was introduced to the West in the mid-1900's by Hawayo Takata, who was born in Hawaii of Japanese descent. Maiko Usui founded the Usui System of Reiki and today the Usui System of Reiki is widely used throughout the world. It consists of 3 levels or 'attunements' that help the Reiki practitioner access the energy.
Animals are more sensitive to energy than humans and they usually feel Reiki energy immediately and strongly. How your animal reacts to the treatment will depend on their temperament and previous experience with humans. Reiki treatment is soothing and relaxing and most animals will settle in and enjoy the experience.
I have attained Level 2 Attunement / Advanced Level Reiki and can incorporate a Reiki treatment into a homeopathic consultation, or work with Reiki alone.
